Rhode Island is the smallest state in the United States (measuring 1545 Square miles.)
Not a single part of RI lies further than 30 minutes from salt water.
Yet, it has the longest name by far.
The official name for RI is:
The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.
Somehow, a little over one Million peeps occupy this state.
The state bird? Well, it's the red chicken of course.
Only the best for the best! I only wish I was joking.
They also have a state mineral, shell, fish, motto, drink, tree, and flower. but that's two minutes of my life I will never get back.
