It's Been A Long Time...

I shouldn't of left you, without a dope rhyme to step to. (If you don't know the reference, go back to '86 and punch yourself in the face.)

We'll do it live, fuck it. For whatever reason, Summer and I couldn't see eye to eye (more on this momentarily), and my wondrous witticisms were forced to go on temporary hiatus. Irregardless, I'm goin' in. On the real, there's too much happenin' for me to be posted up, watchin' the world fall apart. Mad ups to Zoop for holdin' down the spot like a champ. From here on in, I'm unleashing terror like the Seventh Seal's been opened.

BONUS-- The actual list of Summer's grievances:

  • I'm hotter than the sun.

  • She wanted me to wear a crochet hat and pants.

  • I told her I don't fuck with her new "Global Warming" look.

  • I didn't sell as many albums as Wayne.

  • Back in '96, me and Lauryn Hill went and drank some mango juice with Polaris. Needless to say since Summer and The Sun are HEAVY in the streets, she was fumin' and hasn't forgiven me since. Or tango'd in Paris.

A guessing game invented by bored astronauts.

A Pangram is a phrase using all 26 letters of the alphabet.

The most widely known pangram I can think of would probably be: The quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog.
So, for your amusement, I have assembled a list of pangrams for your viewing pleasure.

Sixty zippers were quickly picked from the woven jute bag.
Crazy Fredrick bought many very exquisite opal jewels.
Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs.
How quickly daft jumping zebras vex.
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.
Waltz, nymph, for quick jigs vex bud.
The five boxing wizards jump quickly.

Also, there is such a thing as a perfect pangram, which is really just an anagram of the alphabet. Here are a couple few.

Mr. Jock, TV quiz PhD, bags few lynx.
Blowzy night-frumps vex'd Jack Q.
TV quiz drag nymphs blew JFK cox.

if you have any good ones to add to the list, feel free.

Una californiana acuchilló a su hija de diecisiete años porque usaba cocaína.

Girl Talk released a new album today, titled "Feed the Animals." I will pre-emptively tell you I love it. Just acquiring the cd makes me want it, here's how it works:

Encantazo

Brazillian legend Sergio Mendes released his new cd Encanto today. I will go as far to say it is great - and I have not listened to it. I mean, when you're Sergio, you eat good music for breakfast. This man helped pioneer samba-based bossa nova, and he's doing what anyone with a reportoire as impressive as his would do, he's re-working alot of his own old hits. First track on the album? Burt Bacharach's 'the look of love' which Mendes had originally transposed to bossa nova in 1967, then it became his biggest hit with Brasil `66. Don't get me wrong, there's several, great, original tracks on there as well. I'll just say that Sergio is on point.

Recommended tracks:

2) Funky Bahia
4) Odo-Ya
5) Somewhere in the Hills (feat. Natalie Cole & Till Bronner)
12) Agua de Beber

Music, Music, Music...

It couldn't get any more 'opposite ends of the spectrum' than this.

Wheezy dropped 'The Carter III' today which Vexed and I have been listening to for about a week.5 now, I strongly suggest you read about it.

And on the other end, Wolf Parade is releasing a new album in a week titled "At Mount Zoomer." I highly suggest you give it a listen if you like music. IMO it sounds Wonderful, it has an even mix of vocals between Dan Boeckner, and Spencer Krug. I mean, that is to say; half of the songs are dan on vocals, and the other half are spencer, so at least you'll like half of it, right?
